What is CBD?

CBD is a naturally-occurring compound found in the resin of the hemp and cannabis plants. A safe and natural option for pain relief, CBD is used by people around the world to help reduce pain, to help decrease inflammation, and to help improve wellness and quality of life.

So should I try it?

Everyone has the potential to benefit from CBD – and those who experience relief report a good deal of it.

However, it is important to know that CBD works differently for everyone. Every ECS is unique, and the product that worked well for your neighbor may not necessarily work for you. Determining your ideal products, methods of administration, and dosing sometimes requires time and experimenting.

Does CBD get you "high"?

While a trace amount of THC may exist in some properly extracted CBD products (such as those labeled as full spectrum), hemp-derived CBD that remains compliant to federal laws should not produce euphoric side effects. In fact, studies show that CBD may even neutralize the effects of THC when taken in the correct doses.

Are there different ways to take CBD?

There is a multitude of ways to take CBD. Known as methods of administration, each approach has its own set of unique benefits.

Because the way CBD works is highly variable person to person, the best way to find products that work for you is to experiment. From tinctures and oils to capsules, topicals, gummies, and even bath bombs, there are a variety of ways to introduce CBD into your system.

Will I fail a drug test if I'm taking CBD?

So long as your product has been acquired from a reputable source and has been properly tested to ensure it meets the federal limit of 0.3% THC, you should not fail a drug test.

However, if you purchase CBD from a company that does not meet these guidelines, it’s best not to take your chances. Always request a certificate of analysis to ensure the legal limit of THC has not been exceeded.
